Red One hits cinemas on November 15th! We’re excited to watch an E.L.F. (Extremely Large and Formidable) operative and his unlikely tracker partner rescue Santa and save Christmas! Check out our 5 Red One activations that have moviegoers in your cinema just in the St. Nick of time!
1. Missing Poster
Create your own Red One missing poster with pull tabs with your cinema name. Hide the poster somewhere in your cinema. Post a photo of the poster to your cinema’s IG/FB Stories with a caption that asks moviegoers to find the poster and pull a tab. The first 10 people to pull a tab receive a free popcorn. Be sure to include fine print of limit (1) pull tab/free popcorn per customer.
2. Toy Drive
Ask moviegoers to bring in new toys to donate at your cinema. Partner with a local organization that distributes toys to kiddos during the holidays. Create an area with a festive themed donation box and prominent signage.
3. Festive Wear
Encourage moviegoers to wear their santa hats, christmas sweaters, and red + green to the cinema. Ask your employees (if they’re comfortable) to dress as Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, and reindeer! Encourage kiddos + adults to take photos with the crew, post to their socials, and tag your cinema! Repost the photos to your cinema’s IG + FB Stories.
4. Marshmallow Snowman Station
Create your own marshmallow snowman station in your cinema lobby. Design a festive area stocked with marshmallows, pretzel sticks, candy corn, mini chocolate chips, and white frosting. Ask families to create their own marshmallow snowmen to enjoy during the film!
5. Letters to Santa
Design a mailbox in your cinema lobby for moviegoers to write letters to Red One! Create a letter writing station with festive patterned paper, markers, and envelopes for kids to decorate. Families will come into your cinema to participate!
We can’t wait to watch The Rock, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons in this new Christmas action classic! All we want for Christmas is to see Red One!
